Picking Topics

Today, in class we broke up into groups and tried to narrow down our topics. It was interesting to see people try to use their hobbies and interests into this essay. I hope to make my essay something I can use in my professional life both now and after college.

I am currently working with a singer/songerwriter, Nate Mott, www.natemott.com ( haha shameless self promotion) promoting and starting a production company, Constant Change Productions. Recently Nate finished his second album, Words Distilled, that will be ready for release by the end of February.

With this assignment I hope to make an essay that will chronicle what it takes to make an album from start to finish. It was one of the most interesting processes I've ever witnessed from hearing song, hours after creation to self producing the album to album design and finally promotions. The hopes is to allow the viewer to see a piece of the music industry and all the hard work that goes into it. In addition to this, I hope to add my creative and artistic side to make it almost a music video so that we can also use it in the media secition of Nate's Website.
