How to put Flash to HTML

1) We downloaded your existing site (I hope!) The first thing you
need to do is create a new folder in the project window and call it
"flash". (Use the small folder icon under the blue apple.)
2) You need an index.html page in that folder for things to work.
Here's how you get it:

- In Flash, select File> Publish Settings...
- in the HTML tab, make sure you deselect the loop and menu items
(middle of the window). As a matter of fact, deselect any of those
options for now.
- In the Formats tab, make sure you have both Flash and HTML selected.
- When you're done, click the Publish button. Flash will then create
an HTML page and a .swf file. The HTML page will have the right code
in it for embedding the .swf file.
- Drag both files into the flash folder in GoLive.
- Rename the HTML file index.html

3) With the project window in GoLive open, click on the Server icon
in the ribbon menu (under the word Special - if you don't see it,
it's probably because the project window is not active/selected.)
4) When you are connected to the web space (when everything shows up
in the right hand section of the project window) you can click on the
Incremental Upload icon next to the Server icon. This uploads your
new files and folders - the ones you just created.
5) Open a browser (Firefox or Safari are best) and go to your webspace:

Your movie should work.

Getting down to the wire

I know it has been a while since I have blogged but that does not reflect my work on this project. To be honest I have been working hard to try and figure out some difficult things with my slideshow and computer trouble has made another obstacle. Today I am in the lab working to upload my flash to html for Monday's class. In addition to this I am working on creating two slideshows to enter into my flash and planning out my the movie aspect of my video essay. I hope to get a lot accomplished but will need to ask the help of my peers to get things straightened out.

Video and Pictures

I know I haven't written in a while but I have also been busy. First of all, I taped a video of Nate's performance with the help of Becky for letting me use her camera :) and got some good footage. I took all the pictures from the cruizer disk and online and saved them in my gscript. Therefore, I have all the elements besides the voiceover portion to work with. I hope to spend either tomorrow night or thurs in the lab trying to put all the footage down. In class on monday we learned how to tween the pictures so im excited to actually put my knowledge to use. I know the time is running out but for some reason I think I can do it all . I will just have to spend entire days in the Mac Lab but its nice in there..haha

Ok talk soon!
